Feralloy’s Decatur location is seeking a qualified Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This full-time salaried role requires strong administrative, decision-making, and communication skills, along with knowledge of steel applications and market conditions. Creativity and multitasking are essential.

Function in the Job
Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through responsive service and accurate order fulfillment.
• Handle inbound inquiries and proactively reach out to potential leads via phone and email.
• Provide quotes, process orders, and communicate effectively regarding material applications and delivery timelines.
• Research prospective leads, identify customer buying trends, and report findings to management on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Maintain and update CRM records with lead, prospect, and opportunity information.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.
• Support the Service Manager with additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
• 3 years experience in a Business/Sales environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Salesforce and/or AS400 is a plus.
Required Experience
• Microsoft Excel: 3 years
• Customer Service: 3 years
• Inside Sales: 3 years
Preferred Experience
• One year of experience in the Sheet metal space
