Outside Sales Representative
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling non-fabricated steel to industrial establishments, developing and maintaining customer relationships, and meeting sales targets. This role includes regular in-person visits, market analysis, and collaboration with internal departments.
This position reports to our Hopkinton, MA location; however, we are seeking candidates based in Vermont, New Hamshire, and Maine, covering that regional territory.
Compensation: Base salary of $60,000 - $78,000 per year plus commission.

Job Function
- Maintain and grow current customer base.
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities.
- Introduce new products and services to customers.
- Provide market information and product knowledge to clients.
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts and formal quotes.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues.
- Maintain accurate sales records and mailfile information.
- Collaborate regularly with Inside Sales and other counterparts.
- Complete and submit expense reports and call logs.
- Attend specialized product and sales training sessions.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the steel or industrial sector.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $60,000.00/Yr. - USD $78,000.00/Yr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
