This is an exciting opportunity to join the Japan arm of a newly established global team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Global Contracting for Clinical Solutions and Global Medical Education.

About The Role

You would be an integral member of the Clinical Solutions and Global Medical Education Contracts (Account Support) Team. Working in partnership with your Team Lead, Regional Manager and Japan Clinical Solutions and Global Medical Education Sales teams. Responsible for executing on contracting and sales support processes for both new, transactional and renewal sales. In addition to responding to customer queries regarding all processes.

Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively across a global team. With cross-functional stakeholders, such as Contracts Managers, Legal Counsels, Controllers and other stakeholders. Ensuring the end-to-end processes are executed with efficiency

• Maintaining and updating our CRM systems to ensure accurate financial reporting and invoice generation

• Taking ownership of generating and executing customer contract requirements to ensure compliance with our company policies

• Drafting and editing various contracts including master agreements, product service agreements, licenses and amendments to ensure accuracy of information

• Supporting contract negotiation by responding to customer redlines in compliance with negotiation toolkits, seeking internal stakeholder approvals as needed

• Managing the life-cycle of each customer contract by reviewing, executing and administering the contract database

• Providing support to customers for contract related questions and queries

• Assisting in preparation of bids or requests for proposals (RFPs). Negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.

• Serving as the main contact for the customer. This includes queries related to agreement status, invoicing, title reconciliation, and clarification of subscription terms.

• Delivering proposals and agreements that both are compliant with our policies and capture the customers' requirements.

• Processing and invoicing on time according to the defined targets of your team's assigned territories.

• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Hold Secondary education from an accredited college or equivalent with experience in Contract Administration, Sales Operations, Renewals Sales or Order Management.

• Have Japanese fluency and Business level English

• Be a self-starter who can anticipate business needs and fulfill on them in a proactive manner, and can multitask when times are needed.

• Display excellent organizational, analytical and contract drafting abilities. This includes understanding their structures and negotiation tactics.

• Prefer to have prior experience with Microsoft Office products. Including Excel and related reporting functionalities. Also prefer experience with ERP tools like Oracle, SAP, Salesforce.com or Siebel CRM. Including CPQ and CLM components of Salesforce.

• Enjoy collaborating with teams to design a strategy to solve problems and implement solutions

Strong English speaking and writing skills are required.
