Your key responsibilities include:
1. Sales & Market Strategy
- Achieve sales objectives by developing and executing business plans to grow all areas of target markets.
- Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies to attain assigned sales objectives for highly strategic accounts.
- Coordinate sales in targeted accounts that incorporate Roche's Sequencing portfolio and Molecular Lab products.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of customers to effectively penetrate and expand into new markets.
- Retain, extend, and acquire customers through effective identification of opportunities and the creation and implementation of solutions.
2. Customer & Relationship Management
- Develop and foster relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Decision Makers at target accounts.
- Establish and build strong client relationships that allow for growth, profitability, and predictability.
- Provide professional leadership in planning, organizing, and controlling continued account penetration and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize strong product and market knowledge to manage complex sales and resolve customer questions and concerns.
- Actively coordinate support from Marketing, Application, and Service teams to ensure needed sales support and the delivery of programs and products.
3. Business Collaboration & Ownership
- Collaborate with other teams/departments (service, finance, and logistics) to ensure the success of the responsible business.
- Work with Corporate Accounts Directors and other relevant Roche functions to ensure sales support and delivery of programs.
- Team up with other sales teams for the success of the total ML business.
Handle forecasting, order management, and reporting for responsible product areas.
4. Continuous Development & Leadership
- Continuously build knowledge of current industry trends, competitive information, and technical knowledge, and share it with other Roche colleagues.
- Manage and lead the development of sales strategies to achieve assigned sales objectives for highly strategic accounts.
- Obtain and internalize product knowledge and current technologies.
- Keep improving general sales skills, negotiation skills, and strategic planning skills.
Who you are includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Life/Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline is required.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, or a related field is highly preferred and is considered a strong plus.
- At least 5 years of commercial direct sales experience in the biotechnology or life science industry.
- 5 years of successful B2B sales experience in the Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) industry or with a highly technical product portfolio is preferred.
- Practical application experience in providing application training, experimental design, and troubleshooting is highly valued.
- Experience with NGS wet lab procedures, such as library prep, PCR, and target enrichment is preferred.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics software and NGS applications in oncology is desired.
