Sales Account Manager

Rocky Mountain Laboratories specializes in molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases and toxicology. We are dedicated to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic information and are committed to improving healthcare outcomes through cutting-edge diagnostics and a customer-focused approach.

We are seeking a driven Sales Account Manager to join our Phoenix-based team. In this role, you'll focus on building relationships with healthcare providers, identifying new business opportunities, and presenting our services to potential clients. The right candidate will have a strong background in business-to-business (B2B) sales or field sales and a proven ability to generate and close their own leads. This is a field-based role that requires frequent in-person visits with clients in Maricopa County and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence in your assigned territory
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold outreach, and relationship-building
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrate service value to physicians, clinics, and other healthcare providers
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage the sales process from initial contact to close
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships with a focus on retention and growth
  • Track sales activity and maintain accurate records in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client onboarding and resolve concerns
  • Provide ongoing follow-up and client support to ensure satisfaction
  • Represent the company professionally in the community and with potential partners
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of sales experience in either B2B or field sales
  • Proven ability to generate and close self-sourced leads without relying on inbound interest
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a relationship-building mindset
  • Demonstrated negotiation and closing skills in competitive markets
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and digital tools for scheduling, outreach, and reporting
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the Phoenix metro area and surrounding region
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or diagnostics sales experience
  • Familiarity with laboratory services or clinical workflows
  • Experience selling to physicians, clinics, or healthcare decision-makers
  • Professional sales certification (e.g., CSP)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, semi-flexible schedule

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Base salary $55,000 annually. Bonus opportunities: account managers are expected to be on track in their first 6 months to earn six figures in their first year (details provided by the hiring manager). Up to $650 per month for fuel, mileage, and phone reimbursement
