The Sales Manager – SunCoast Division will be responsible for assessing the current sales organization and developing a strategic plan to build and grow the sales team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams, driving revenue growth, and creating and executing sales strategies within the telecom, asset recovery, and decommissioning services sectors. This role requires someone who is adept at setting and measuring KPIs, leading business development efforts, and collaborating across departments to meet sales objectives and goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hire, train, and oversee direct reports.
May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of direct reports in the department.
Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Essential Functions:
1. Sales Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage the SunCoast sales team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on growth, accountability, and customer satisfaction. Assess the current sales team structure and skill sets, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth. Develop and implement a strategic plan to build out the sales team, including hiring, training, and retention strategies. Set clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets.
2. Strategic Sales Planning & Execution: Develop a comprehensive, data-driven sales strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives for telecom equipment resale including to large enterprise clients, asset recovery for high-value refining materials (e.g., circuit boards, CPUs, telecome scrap) and decommissioning services. Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and potential partnerships to expand the SunCoast division's footprint in the telecom space. Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales strategies with broader business objectives and initiatives.
3. KPI Management & Performance Tracking: Establish and track relevant KPIs to measure individual and team performance, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Regularly analyze sales performance data and adjust strategies accordingly to drive continuous improvement. Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales activities, team performance, and business development efforts.
4. Business Development & Relationship Management: Lead and participate in business development efforts to drive revenue growth, including targeting new clients and nurturing existing relationships. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in telecom, data center, and asset recovery industries. Work closely with the marketing team to generate leads and create campaigns tailored to specific market segments.
5. Collaboration on Sales Objectives & Goals: Work in close collaboration with the executive team, marketing, operations, and other departments to develop sales objectives and goals that drive business growth and operational efficiency. Participate in the creation of sales forecasts, budgets, and long-term strategies for the SunCoast division. Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless execution of customer objectives, ensuring the sales team meets customer expectations and drives repeat business.
6. Market & Industry Expertise: Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments in telecom equipment resale, asset recovery, and data center decommissioning services. Provide insights and recommendations on industry shifts, customer needs, and emerging opportunities that could benefit the organization.
