Sales/Business Development Manager

The Sales/Business Development Manager is a pivotal role driving sales, managing key accounts and extending our customer base. Operating in an agile environment where innovation, technical excellence and international collaboration are key drivers of our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute both short and long term sales and business development plans for the UK market, aligned with ST4D's strategic objectives.
  • Understand the UK Defense & Security landscape and identify opportunities related to PNT resilience, GNSS protection, Timing systems and associated technologies.
  • Map and analyse competitors, market trends, partners and potential new verticals.
  • Identify, pursue and secure key programmes within MoD, government agencies, major defense primes and critical infrastructure operators.
  • Drive the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, proposal definition, negotiation and capture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, strategic partners and distribution channels.
  • Ensure high quality and timely responses to customer enquiries, tenders and commercial opportunities.
  • Work closely with Programme Managers, Engineering and Product Management to align customer needs with ST4D's product roadmap.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility and reporting through Salesforce, in line with internal processes.
  • Represent ST4D during customer visits, site demonstrations, industry events and trade shows (25–50% travel expected).

What Success Looks Like:

  • Consistently exceeding the annual order intake plan for the UK territory.
  • Expanding ST4D's footprint within key Defense and government programmes.
  • Strengthening partnerships and optimising the UK channel ecosystem.
  • Contributing valuable market insights to inform product evolution and strategic positioning.
  • Delivering a reliable, structured and growth focused pipeline.

Essential:

  • Proven track record in Defence electronics sales or business development in the UK.
  • Strong technical sales acumen, ideally with exposure to PNT, GNSS, Timing, C4ISR, EW or sensor based systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Self starter with autonomy, rigour and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred).
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently with teams across multiple locations.
  • Proven experience selling technical electronic solutions to UK Defense, government or Aerospace customers.
  • Experience managing direct sales as well as partners or distributors.
  • Must be UK based and eligible for UK MoD security clearance (mandatory).
  • Familiarity with B2B and governmental procurement environments.
