Commercial Specialist – Sales Support US

Sandvik Mining seeks a Commercial Specialist – Sales Support US for Quoting and Contracting.

The purpose of the Commercial Specialist - Sales Support role is to provide tangible and accessible support to Sandvik's sales teams in United States by way of supporting the preparation, approval and management of quotations, tenders and contracts of high quality and which are compliant with Sandvik's governance policies.

Key performance areas:

  • Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies.
  • Ensure that Sandvik's Commercial and Legal standards (minimum requirements) are observed, or deviations understood, assessed and approved at the appropriate level when quoting and contracting.
  • Review commercial documentation and support Sales team by ensuring accuracy and completeness during early stage preparation (prior to QARs, CARs, VCARs, TCARs, and XCARs approval) and by reviewing all approval types for compliance, and timely progression.
  • Issue accurate and compliant Order Acceptances in a timely manner.
  • Create, update, and maintain standardized templates for quotes, contracts, agreements, schedules, and other commercial documents to support consistent and compliant execution across the business.
  • Stay current with global Sandvik Commercial, Legal, and Compliance guidelines and terms & conditions, collaborate with Legal to localize them when needed, communicate and train the local team on updates.
  • Ensure that appropriate stakeholders have reviewed and assessed the risks of a proposed contract, and mediate/coordinate communications where required.
  • Support the sales teams to ensure faster approval timelines and smoother submission processes.
  • Participate as required in Customer negotiations.
  • Onboard new users, train and embed existing users in commercial management tools, systems, and processes.
  • Prepare contract summaries for complex agreements to support internal clarity.
  • Manage signature processes through Docusign, including preparing final combined packages and sending for execution.
  • Support Sales team with follow-ups on existing contracts, escalations, document checks, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with the Commercial Manager in the ongoing development of commercial management process improvements, process mapping, audit tools, and user guidelines.

Your profile:

We are now looking for an independent, efficient, and proactive relationship-builder with strong attention to detail to support Sandvik Mining sales organization in the role of Commercial Specialist.

You have experience in, or the ability to learn, contract development from quotation/tender preparation through finalization, and an understanding of legal terms and conditions. Your written English is outstanding. Experience in development of new templates, processes, policies, or procedures would be highly regarded.

Additionally, you have excellent interpersonal skills, are able to build trust and establish respectful working relationships with stakeholders at all levels by communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing, debating difficult issues appropriately and thinking quickly.

Furthermore, you possess team development skills, advanced computer skills (particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and excellent presentation skills (in-person and virtual). You must be able to manage your time effectively. Experience working with Salesforce is preferred.

Location:

Sandvik's preference is for this role to be based in Denver, CO or Smyrna, GA, operating from Sandvik's premises.
