The impact you will generate:

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for a Securities Sales Analyst based in Boadilla del Monte.

As a Securities Sales, your objective will be the sale of a wide range of equity and fixed income products for Banco Santander clients, integrating into a trading desk with a solid technical base and market knowledge.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assuming responsibility for the operational procedures of the desk, supporting daily trading activity and ensuring accuracy, control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting cash equity activities, including receiving and executing orders in global equity and fixed income markets.
  • Designing, managing, and contributing to the development of all technological aspects of the Order Management System (OMS), from daily use and incident resolution to future improvements.
  • Assisting in the management of OMS connectivity with clients and brokers, ensuring efficient and reliable trading flows.
  • Acting as a liaison between central services and the end client, facilitating communication and the transfer of specialized knowledge about products.
  • Through a deep understanding of the sales network and customer typology, identifying their needs and presenting the most suitable product solution for each case.
  • Applying knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework (MiFID) and internal regulations, ensuring compliance with the requirements and limitations established in each situation.
  • Collaborating with other teams in the organization, such as Risk, Operations, Compliance, Trading, Analysts.
  • Meeting sales objectives and contributing to the growth and profitability of the Bank.

The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position.

Professional Experience

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in a dynamic and demanding environment. Demonstrated commercial management experience with clients.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, electronic trading, and technological environments.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and adapt quickly in demanding operational or analytical environments.

Education

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or similar.
  • Master’s degree or postgraduate in International Banking, Finance. (Desirable)

Languages

  • High level of English (C1).

Technical Skills (Hard Skills)

  • CASF / MiFID II certification or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Bloomberg proficiency.

Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)

  • Initiative, problem-solving skills, and willingness to contribute ideas and actively collaborate in their implementation within the team.
  • Strong competencies in financial analysis, commercial communication, and relationship management.
  • Ability to work in multicultural and collaborative environments, with a global focus.
