Group Rooms Coordinator

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Within 48 hours of receipt, inputs group room listings by following a detailed checklist
  • Works with Director of Revenue Management to achieve optimum occupancy and revenue
  • Reviews contracts for accuracy in rates, dates, billing inventory levels, and other miscellaneous information
  • Creates and maintains complete files on all bookings reflected in Sales PMS
  • Provides information and assistance to enhance guest service
  • Participates in weekly group pick-up meetings
  • Provides continuous service to hotel and guests to assure guest satisfaction
  • Attend group pre-function meetings
  • Answer reservation sales calls when volume dictates
  • Posts, tracks and follows all SOP's with advance purchase/deposit reservations
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) months prior reservations or front office experience required in a full service hotel or related.
  • Prior experience with Opera PMS is preferred
  • Minimum of High School education

  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong commitment to task with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
