Sales Executive Position at C.H. Robinson

Tasks and Responsibilities

The tasks and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Initiating, planning, and conducting personal visits to potential new customers in your branch's sales area
  • Scheduling at least 8 personal meetings per week with potential and existing customers. Contact with potential and existing customers is expected 3 to 4 days per week
  • Targeting and acquiring medium to large potential customers
  • Maintaining and developing (at least weekly) our CRM system (Opportunity Management)
  • Actively maintaining customer relationships and ensuring the continued success of accounts with a locally assigned account executive/account manager
  • Following up and processing sales leads generated by overseas branches or assigned by your sales manager
  • Participating in training to deepen relevant knowledge and skills
  • Coordinating offers with your sales coordinator (if available) and assisting in the handover of new customers to the local account executive/account manager

Requirements

Required:

  • Sales experience in the global freight forwarding sector (air & ocean)
  • A particularly convincing, mature personality with outstanding communication skills and negotiation skills at all levels
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and curious
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented personality with a positive attitude and a clear focus on high quality and profitability
  • Robust team player
  • Excellent sense for business opportunities and active pursuit thereof
  • Building and maintaining stable, company-wide relationships
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Proficient use of MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
