Family Service Counselor

Responsible for serving client families by making at need cemetery arrangements, and selling pre-need arrangements. The Family Service Counselor offers personalized service and is the primary contact with families, and plays an essential role in generating revenue for the cemetery.

Responsibilities of the position include generating sales leads, establishing relationships with families, and teamwork.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience, and 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred.

Knowledge of computers and some software, and customer service skills are also required.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed indoors
Standard work attire is required

Work Postures

Continuous sitting for several hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
Frequent stair climbing to access buildings

Physical Requirements

Physical effort requiring manual dexterity, including the use of documents, calculators, computers, and telephone

Work Hours

Work beyond "normal" hours as needed
Minimum travel required

Compensation

$50,000 to $100,000 targeted compensation (with higher earnings potential based on exceptional performance)
