Job Description
The Inside Sales Account Representative is responsible for developing new prospects, communicating with clients to understand their needs and provide SGS solutions. This role is responsible for establishing an instant connection with clients over the phone and is expected to have technical knowledge of all SGS service offerings to provide expert customer service, providing support to clients, external sales team, and customer service team. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing leads, generating proposals, and preparing quotations according to SGS standards.
Specific Responsibilities:

- Represent SGS professionally and ethically in the market.
- Use exceptional verbal and written communication skills to discuss SGS capabilities and its unique features, benefits, and services to clients.
- Respond to client questions and provide supporting documentation via email.
- Contact potential and existing clients to discuss their needs.
- Continuously stay updated on SGS service offerings and evaluate client needs in relation to SGS capabilities.
- Lead generation through monitoring bidding sites.
- Conduct discovery sessions with both qualified and non-qualified potential clients.
- Develop prospects and convert them into sales.
- Follow up on the offer to determine the outcome.
- Close sales and achieve revenue target.
- Practice active listening to understand and identify client needs and determine potential opportunities.
- Maintain the lead database and client queries in the CRM.
- Provide proposal intelligence and opportunities to the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager.
- Continuously develop personal selling skills, acquire industry knowledge, expand experience in environmental service offerings, and apply them.
- Develop a network of contacts in the industry.
- Communicate, as needed, with ISMs and other internal staff.
- Build trust by providing timely responses to all inquiries, either by phone or email.
- Foster a positive can-do attitude and a safe work environment.
- Be informed and comply with SGS procedures and standards.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Adopt and support specific operational improvement activities as communicated by the GBS Team Leader. These projects will focus on quality, efficiency, accreditation, communication, and technical improvement.
- Perform other related tasks that may be assigned, either in support of the department's objectives or for personal or professional training, education, or development as scheduled by your immediate superior.
- Ensure the GBS work area is kept clean and presentable at all times.
- Comply with all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Required bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related science.
- Requiring C1 or higher level of English.
- Entry level with 0-2 years of experience. Previous industry experience is a plus, but not necessary.
- Previous telephone sales experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows suite, LinkedIn, and CRM software.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to build strong client relationships, as well as to work effectively and collaborate internally.
- Strong leadership, self-initiative, resourcefulness, excellent problem-solving skills, and time management.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance manuals, and procedure books.
- Active listening and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to clients or employees of the organization.
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Mode: in-person
Salary: $6,000,000 + Commissions (commission table is socialized in the interview process). Guaranteed for the first 3 months $1,500,000.
Temporary contract for the first 6 months, then it passes directly with SGS to indefinite term.
