As the Sales & Event Manager, we are seeking someone who will be responsible for effectively soliciting all accounts in the assigned market segments. He/she is responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts to positively impact the assigned hotel(s) revenues based on the goals assigned to each hotel. He/she is the central contact for information specific to this department for assigned hotels. Responsibilities also include establishing new accounts through prospecting and outside sales calls, generating revenue by up selling and booking repeat business while keeping quality consistently high.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to boost room and catering revenues
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agents, and other potential customers.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and site tours to showcase hotel facilities, catering services, and food and beverage offerings.

Revenue Generation:

  • Maximize food, beverage and meeting room rental through effective pricing strategies and revenue management techniques.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of hotel amenities, catering packages, and dining experiences to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.

Team Leadership and Training:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Work with corporate marketing partners to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive awareness and demand for hotel catering services, and food and beverage offerings.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing materials, advertisements, and online content.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel and its hospitality services.

Qualifications:

Previous Experience: Proven experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the hotel industry, market trends, competitor landscape, and sales techniques.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients.

Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team to achieve goals and exceed expectations.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and make strategic decisions.

Customer Focus: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships with clients.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
