At Varian, a Siemens Healthineers Company, we envision a world without fear of cancer. We are looking for a Head of Sales who can make a real difference by expanding access to innovative, comprehensive cancer care technologies and solutions on the Hungarian market. The Head of Sales is a critical leadership role directly reporting to the CEECA Zone Head. You will lead our commercial strategy to drive growth, expand market share, and elevate customer experience across the Varian portfolio in Hungary. This role demands strategic vision, strong executional leadership, and deep understanding of the Hungarian healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute strategic plans to accelerate sales growth, maintain and increase market share, expand access to innovation, and achieve profitability.
  • Selling Varian products, solutions and software to hospitals, cancer clinics and healthcare providers in both public and private sectors in Hungary.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning and maximize profitability while aligning with local market regulations and customer value.
  • Identify new business opportunities and manage strategic accounts to maximize customer acquisition and retention.
  • Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities to uncover opportunities and mitigate risk.
  • Work with CEECA leadership, EMEA and global Varian as well as SHS teams to enhance internal processes for best-in-class execution and superior customer outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Training, Key & Government Account teams to drive business opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, pipeline development, and reporting using CRM tools.
  • Contribute to annual budget planning, target setting, and compensation programs to ensure alignment with Varian's growth ambitions.
  • Ensure adherence to Compliance standards of the Organization in dealings of the sales team with various stakeholders.

Skills required

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Medical Science, Engineering, Business Management or related fields, PhD or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of sales management or distributor/channel management experience in ideally oncology (or radiology) related medical environment (e.g., capital equipment, medical devices, and healthcare solutions sales)
  • Or an ideal combination of 5+ years in radiotherapy, radiology and 5+ years in strategy, sales management, distributor/channel management, market development, and related management experience with a track record of successful performance within the healthcare sector.
  • Skills in Physics (physicist, dosimetry), and/or experience in oncology treatment planning systems
  • Proven strength in building and maintaining customer focus and customer relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Can-do mentality, solution oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of the Hungarian healthcare system and procurement processes.
  • Native Hungarian, fluency in English is required, German would be a plus.
