The Role

We are currently seeking an adaptable, successful, and experienced Director of Sales as we increase our market share. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of our expansion into overseeing all aspects of the business. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven, have a passion for learning about and engaging with new cultures, and a desire to build a business from the ground up.

Location: Bay Area, CA or Austin, TX

Responsibilities

• Research and grow a customer base for SiFive IP products in North America.
• Define the technical needs for successful IP products in North America and communicate back to Headquarters what is necessary to succeed in the North America market within the regional customer base.
• Define the commercial and business model needs to ensure maximum success of design wins and licensing of SiFive IP products in North America.
• Manage and develop key customer relationships at US based customers, particularly top automotive, consumer, data center and industrial customers. Particularly at the Director and VP level to help ensure success for SiFive in North America.
• Work with SiFive Corporate Marketing to research and understand the needs of branding, trade show presence, general local marketing activities and other such items – locally in North America - to ensure long term success of SiFive in North America.
• Identify key talent in the region that can be recruited to help grow the business and support US based customers, as needed.
• Generate strategic sales plans to ensure success at US based customers, working closely with SiFive Product, Sales, Executive and Business Development teams.
• Be the bearer of the SiFive brand in North America and uphold the principles embraced by SiFive for excellence, innovation and technology leadership, in North America.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, MBA or other relevant fields, strongly preferred.
• 10 years experience working in the Semiconductor or Semiconductor IP field strongly preferred.
• 3+ years working in the area of microprocessor, GPU or DSP technologies strongly preferred.
• 7+ years in professional Sales in the technology sector strongly preferred.
• Exceptionally well organized and driven by success.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
• Outstanding negotiating skills
• Team player that can work with multiple cultures, regions, and teams in an international setting in a high growth technology play.
• Analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills
• Solid history of data-driven strategic development
• Decisive and committed.
• A natural leader who inspires and motivates those around them.

In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for variable/ incentive compensation and/ or equity. In addition, this role is eligible for a comprehensive, competitive benefits package which may include healthcare and retirement plans, paid time off, and more!
