Complex Director Of Leisure Sales
This is your chance to be part of an in-house Commercial Services team that propels Hilton's sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions!
As a Complex Director of Leisure Sales you will support the areas which are at the core of Hilton's "commercial engine" and are important to Hilton's ability to achieve profitable growth.
Supporting various Hilton Properties: Hilton Orlando, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Doubletree Suites by Hilton Orlando, and Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando and reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing at each property.
You will be responsible for the solicitation of new customer relationships and accounts, including wholesalers, receptive tour operators, and luxury travel agencies (Consortia), as well as maintaining existing accounts, while consistently striving to increase revenue and promote relationships through effective negotiation of guest rooms for assigned properties.

What Your Day-To-Day Will Be Like:
- Mentor and drive sales managers to achieve sales goals and budget ensure proper deployment, and management of sales travel, trade show schedule, and sales expenditures. When needed, assist sales managers by responding to leads and RFPs.
- Represent resorts in significant interactions dealing with customers relative to sales and operational questions, challenges, and issues.
- Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies.
- Assist Resort Commercial Leaders with needed information and reports in order to keep corporate and ownership team informed.
- Solicitation and management of leisure wholesalers, travel agents, and consortia in order to grow and maintain the market segment for each hotel.
- Help to manage the efforts of the leisure sales coordinators onsite through effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate, and occupancy commitments for leisure transient room sales within each of the hotels.
- Compiles and/or directs the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the leisure sales market including, but not limited to, the annual and monthly Forecast, Lead Management System, Account Production Reports, and Meetings.
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Meet with and entertain clients, some of which will require travel.
- Coordinate and/or attend scheduled Sales Department and related meetings.
How You Will Collaborate With Others:
- Travel to each hotel as needed to meet with potential customers.
- Travel to industry-related trade shows in various destinations around the world.
- Travel to meet and develop client base as necessary including trainings, trade show participation, FAM trips, and retail travel agencies on a weekly basis.
- Participate in key organizations as recommended by management and the Complex Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Partner closely with all related departments such as Revenue Management, Marketing, Group Sales, e-Commerce, and Operations to help guide overall property strategies and tactics as appropriate.
What Projects You Will Take Ownership Of:
- Strategic Planning of the leisure team to include deployment, travel, and trade show management, and sales expenditures.
- Develop and implement business plans for top accounts focusing on inbound business to the Orlando Market with a high volume of sales leads and working with customers.
- Responsible for completing qualifications of each account to determine at a minimum: the number of events, total revenue potential, booking patterns and histories, decision-making factors, events, business/personal needs, resources, competition, and marketing.
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing marketing plans and initiatives for key accounts.
- Solicit and develop new accounts to generate business opportunities for the supporting hotels of Hilton Orlando, Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, Doubletree Suites by Hilton Orlando, and Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with assigned accounts through ongoing communication.
- Continually uncover business opportunities including in and out of your assigned segments, I.E. Group.
- Manage property-specific promotions, annual FIT contracts, and relevant communications to accounts.
- Inputting and retrieving information from computer system for file maintenance, correspondence, and preparation of forecast and marking budget.

You have these minimum qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience.
- A "disrupter" and a person that thinks out of the box in order to achieve our goals. No business as usual.
- Recent work experience with the wholesale, FIT, and luxury consortia market segments.
- Knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors.
- Personnel Management and deployment
- Extensive experience in the development and delivery of sales presentations, both in-person and virtual.
- Ability to access, understand, and accurately input information using moderately complex computer systems.
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, that require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience in writing, maintaining, and supervising operational budgets
- Up to 15% international travel required
