Director of Sales
We are seeking a dynamic, goal-driven Director of Sales to lead the commercial strategy for our dual-branded Tempo by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton. This leader will be a market expert with a proven record of driving top-line revenue, penetrating new business segments, and building long-term client relationships.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the unique positioning of lifestyle and extended-stay brands, and has the strategic agility to maximize performance across Group, Corporate, and Leisure segments. This role requires a hands-on leader who can position the hotel as the preferred choice in its competitive set while elevating its visibility and influence within the local community.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Revenue Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and revenue strategy aligned with brand positioning and ownership goals.
- Drive market share growth in Group, Corporate, Extended Stay, and Leisure segments.
- Identify and aggressively pursue new business opportunities through direct sales efforts, prospecting, and networking.
- Partner with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, forecasting, and segment mix strategies.
- Analyze STR reports, competitive trends, and market data to outperform the competitive set.
Market Expertise & Business Development
- Serve as the hotel's primary market intelligence leader, understanding demand generators, economic drivers, and key accounts.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate travel buyers, meeting planners, relocation specialists, and local organizations.
- Position the dual-brand offering strategically to leverage cross-selling opportunities between Tempo and Homewood Suites.
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and community functions to build brand presence.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate long-term partnerships that drive repeat and referral business.
- Maintain strong engagement with top accounts through consistent communication and site visits.
- Ensure seamless collaboration with Operations to deliver on client expectations and service standards.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and inspire the Sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Foster a culture of accountability, proactive selling, and performance excellence.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and Executive Leadership team to drive overall hotel success.
- Ensure CRM and sales systems are utilized effectively for pipeline management and reporting.
Community & Brand Ambassador
- Actively engage in community organizations and business networks to elevate the hotel's market reputation.
- Position the hotel as a best-in-class destination within the local market.
- Ensure brand standards and Hilton commercial strategies are fully executed.
Work Experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience, preferably within a Hilton-branded environment.
- Pre-Opening experience
- Proven success driving revenue growth across Group, Corporate, and Leisure segments.
- Strong understanding of dual-brand strategy and extended-stay dynamics preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and execute strategic sales plans.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Active involvement in local business or hospitality organizations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Hilton sales systems (OnQ, Delphi, CRM platforms) preferred.
