Sales Specialist

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and expand the account portfolio and Signify's presence in Japan.
  • Financial Performance Management: Oversee and manage sales and profit performance on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Lead and conduct negotiations for developing/implementing necessary price/volume strategies aligned with business goals, and other commercial conditions as needed internally and externally.
  • Understand the market trend, competitors' trend, and voice of users, to seek opportunities for new customers/applications, by visiting customers and sites.
  • Project and Opportunity Management: Lead and coordinate projects related to new product launches and manage projects involving long lead-time products.
  • Participate in customer and industry events, deliver presentations as needed.
  • Manage customer forecasts in coordination with Order management and Supply Chain to meet delivery.
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships, expand network to different levels within a customer's organization.

Your skills:

  • Take a leading role in bridging different departments, driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring alignment toward shared business objectives.
  • High level of business agility with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and market dynamics.
  • Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: The ability to develop and execute sales plans, understand customer needs, and identify new opportunities.
  • Customer relationship management and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Market Intelligence and Data Analysis: Collecting and utilizing market intelligence to shape sales plans and make new product development.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the electrical industry and lighting are plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of working experience as B-to-B sales/account manager, experience with managing lighting products can be a plus
  • Proven experience in carrying specific sales targets and a strong track record of executing sales activities effectively.
  • Fluency in English (welcome)
  • Strong Japanese written and verbal communication skills (mandatory)
  • Driver License (welcome)
