This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Sales Specifications Specialist, remote in the Bajio Region of Mexico. Cooper Lighting Solutions is a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. The role focuses on promoting Signify's lighting innovations, influencing project specifications, and ensuring that Signify's products, systems, and technologies are included in tender documents and design briefs. This role combines deep technical knowledge with consultative engagement, acting as a bridge between lighting design vision and Signify's innovative solutions.
Responsible to develop and drive strategic sales plans and sales initiatives for individual territories. Prospecting possible clients, cold-calling, networking, attending industry events, and making face-to-face client visits.
Partner with sales and product teams to create and deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and demos aligned to client goals.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to close deals while protecting margins and client satisfaction.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and distributors, providing ongoing support and resolving issues.
Track industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to anticipate needs and identify new offerings or product improvements.
Meet or exceed sales targets through pipeline management, forecasting, and regular reporting on activity, opportunities, and results.
Bachelor's degree
4+ years of experience in lighting specification, architectural lighting design, or sales support within the lighting industry, demonstrating strong relationships with specifiers and knowledge of lighting technologies.
Effective communication in Spanish and English, interpersonal skills, including written and verbal customer interaction.
Significant experience in technical sales, dealing with distributors and direct sales.
Availability to travel, and must be able to work in the Bajio region (Guanajuato, Jalisco, San Luis Potosi).
