Your impact in this role

The commercial representative intern will establish and maintain relationships with clients, contribute to sales growth through virtual sales, and make incentive and cross-sales of products aligned with the company's strategy within specific markets. To do this, they will apply in-depth knowledge of products and markets to support distribution partners and customers. The representative will be required to meet monthly objectives in terms of phone calls and operations while ensuring the sustainability of the sales pipeline, exceeding sales forecasts through client interactions, as well as creating and implementing a business plan, and collaborating with commercial representatives as needed.

As a Commercial Representative – Dental Solutions, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity by collaborating with some of the most innovative people in the world. You will contribute by:

  • Presenting new dental care and oral hygiene products to relevant clients and prospects
  • Increasing Solventum sales with assigned distributors in managed territories
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships through in-depth knowledge of client business/sales models to help manage and stimulate business development
  • Implementing an operational sales plan including strategies and tactics to meet annual sales forecasts
  • Demonstrating a high level of procedural and technical product knowledge to determine solutions that meet customer needs
  • Working towards meeting sales quotas, quality, and productivity metrics
  • Sharing best practices with colleagues to foster a positive team work environment
  • Effectively identifying market trends and account needs to take action in response to market changes and achieve sales objectives

Your skills and expertise

To promote your success in this role, Solventum requires that you possess (at minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (obtained and approved before starting the role) and (2) years of experience in the commercial and/or dental sector OR
  • High school diploma/GED or higher (obtained and approved before starting the role) and a minimum of (7) years of experience in the commercial and/or dental sector

Perfect command of English and French, both written and spoken

Additional qualifications that could help you stand out:

  • Account management experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Sales solution skills, listening ability, and engagement
  • Ability to work effectively within a sales team – creative problem-solving skills desired
  • A keen sense of organization, ability to stay focused on tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity, both in the office and remote work

The final compensation may vary depending on the candidate's experience, skills, education, and location, in accordance with Canadian requirements for pay equity and transparency.
