The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth across assigned market segments within the Canada region. Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, this role encompasses both proactive and reactive sales efforts, with a focus on Group business. Key verticals include, but are not limited to, Government, Association, Corporate, Entertainment, Sports, SMERF, and other strategic markets across All Canada (Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver).

The Regional Sales Manager will develop strategic account plans, generate new business opportunities, and nurture existing client relationships to maximize market share and profitability. Working closely with the Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams, this role ensures alignment with Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy's broader commercial goals and brand standards.

This individual will serve as a key ambassador for Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy, consistently promoting the brand within the assigned region through client engagements, industry events, and sales initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive revenue growth by prospecting, securing, and managing accounts within assigned market segments.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and account action plans to achieve or exceed booking, revenue, and market share goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing accounts while consistently identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Regional Director of Sales to ensure alignment on regional sales priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in preparing annual business plans, sales forecasts, and targeted marketing initiatives for assigned segments.
  • Partner with the Revenue Manager to establish segment pricing strategies, manage group and transient rates, and optimize yield across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with Market Operations and City Teams to ensure successful handoff from booking to guest arrival and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the market through client meetings, site inspections, entertainment, tradeshows, and industry networking events.
  • Utilize CRM systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date account records, pipeline management, and reporting.
  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns and regional promotions to drive segment production.
  • Provide regular updates on production trends, market feedback, and competitive activity to inform broader commercial strategies.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients to drive long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Represent Sonder by Marriott Bonvoy with the highest level of professionalism and integrity at all times.

Who you are:

  • 4+ years of hospitality sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of key market segments such as Government, Association, Corporate, Entertainment, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality sales process, revenue management principles, rate quoting, and distribution landscape.
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage accounts, opportunities, and reporting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a highly proactive approach to managing client relationships and sales pipelines.
  • Solid negotiation and closing skills, with strong financial and business acumen.
  • Energetic, adaptable, and passionate about contributing to a growing, innovative organization.
  • Fluent in English and French, ideally
