Inside Sales Representative II - Tampa, FL

World Electric is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. An Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through processing orders and coordinating customer service needs with other functions within the branch. This role serves as customer contact regarding such matters as pricing, scheduling, and shipping. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for performance in the areas of sales, gross margin, gross margin percentage, market share growth, and profitability of all product lines.

Key Accountabilities

Sales:

  • Receive and handle calls from existing and new customers to explain the type of services or products we can offer
  • Quote prices and use sales skills to complete the purchase
  • Outbound calls to follow up on previous quotes
  • Secure and place orders with others for filling and arrange delivery date
  • Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited
  • Work with the outside sales and manager to secure customer satisfaction on all accounts.
  • Works with shipping dept to arrange special delivery circumstances
  • Prepare and work reports on sales activities and expediting.
  • Source product for "special" and "direct" non-stock customer orders
  • Assemble all information necessary for a customer quotation
  • Prepare customer quotations and analyze quotation results
  • Provide appropriate report information to sales management and outside sales
  • Follow up after sending quotes

Customer Service:

  • Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation
  • Ensure customer returns are handled in accordance with company policy
  • Provide support at the counter during peak customer times as needed

Education and/or Experience:

  • Two-year certificate/degree from college or technical school or
  • Six months to two years related experience and/or training or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Requirements:

  • Read and interpret documents such as training instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Write routine reports and correspondence
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
  • Interface in a customer responsive manner over the telephone and in person
  • Handle difficult customer situations with diplomacy
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • The individual must be entrepreneurial and assertive and possess the experience, skills, and attitude to be able to achieve the company's market share/revenue goals
  • Experience utilizing digital sales tools to enhance the customer experience (job management, quotes, sales tracking, and all other related web capabilities)
