Sales Manager

The D&R Sales team at S&P Global Market Intelligence focuses on delivering tailored solutions to clients across segments, emphasizing data and research that drive informed decision-making. They leverage deep industry knowledge and analytics to support clients' unique needs, fostering strong relationships built on trust and expertise. By collaborating closely with various departments, the team ensures a comprehensive approach to sales that aligns with the company's strategic goals.

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Specialist to join our Data and Research team within the Market Intelligence division. This role is focused on building new relationships with clients across business, promoting our data and research solutions to meet their needs.

Sales Associates can gain several key learnings and opportunities, including:

  • Understanding the importance of tailoring solutions to meet specific client needs, which enhances relationship-building and customer satisfaction.
  • Learning how to leverage data and research to support sales strategies and provide clients with valuable insights that can inform their decisions.
  • Gaining experience in working alongside various departments, which fosters a holistic understanding of the business and the role of collaboration in achieving sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential clients within the Financial Institutions and Corporates sectors.
  • Present and demonstrate our data and research solutions to clients, highlighting their value and benefits.
  • Build and maintain strong C-Suite relationships with new clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with senior sales representatives and other departments to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Track sales activities and client interactions using CRM tools.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in financial services or data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian market and a solid CXO network, indicating the ability to navigate local business complexities and access key decision-makers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
