The Visible Alpha IB team is a global team that drives adoption and sells Visible Alpha's product suite to investment bankers in Japan. The team consists of people around the world – teammates are based in New York, London and Hong Kong. Visible Alpha falls under the Data and Research division of Market Intelligence and this role reports to the Visible Alpha Head of Global IB.
As a Visible Alpha Sales Specialist for Investment Banking, you are responsible for driving adoption and selling Visible Alpha via desktop, bulk delivery or API via data distribution channels to Investment Banks. In addition to sales, you are working closely with D&R Sales and Account Managers across the Market Intelligence organization to drive Visible Alpha adoption within accounts.
The role requires a team player who collaborates effectively with both sales and account managers while delivering top notch customer service. You will also have access to a wide range of resources to support you and help you to perform against your objectives.

Overall responsibility of growing adoption of Visible Alpha and New Business Sales
Build a territory plan and organized process to stay in front of all prospects in the given territory
Stay current with industry news to develop marketing/campaigning initiatives to attract prospects
Understand Financial Institutions client workflows and how our various products pertain to them
Engage and collaborate with other business units to ensure an enhanced client experience through team selling
Work closely with your internal business partners to identify new opportunities and users
Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures
Uncover new cross-divisional synergies opportunities and contribute to product innovation
Maintain focused approach to daily sales activity pipelines and systems-based workflow (i.e. Salesforce.com)
Basic Required Qualifications:
Native level in Japanese and fluent in English
2+ Years of experience as an Individual Contributor (Financial Services Industry roles Preferred)
Independent, self-starter capable of working without close supervision or daily guidance
Strong business acumen with relevant industry experience and a consistent record in consultative sales
Team player with an ability to collaborate across functional and geographic boundaries
Experience selling complex data and/or technology solutions to financial institutions
Confidence in approaching new markets, navigating, and owning a territory and dealing with C-Level executives
Strong communication, organization, presentation, and negotiation skills
