This is a senior-level opportunity for a proven sales specialist with deep financial markets expertise and a track record of exceeding million-dollar+ quotas. As a Senior Sales Specialist, you will own and grow relationships with executive-level stakeholders at the world's largest banks, insurers, and asset managers. Your mandate is to drive revenue growth by deeply understanding client challenges, positioning S&P Global's Credit Solutions as essential, and expanding strategic footprint across complex accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently exceed revenue targets by identifying, developing, and closing new business and expansion opportunities within top-tier Financial Institutions.
  • Navigate and manage complex sales cycles across multiple stakeholders and decision-makers, including C-suite and senior credit executives.
  • Leverage your deep understanding of financial markets and credit workflows to run high-impact, diagnostic client conversations.
  • Partner across the organization—including Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and the Chief Client Office—to deliver coordinated, high-touch client experiences.
  • Maintain impeccable pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and strategic account planning within CRM.
  • Provide feedback from client conversations to shape product strategy and innovation.
  • Act as a credit solutions thought leader internally and externally, continuously staying ahead of market trends.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience, with a strong record of outperforming sales quotas—ideally in credit analytics, financial data, risk solutions, or capital markets.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, credit risk workflows, and the decision-making landscape within large financial institutions.
  • Proven ability to establish, nurture, and expand relationships at the senior executive level.
  • Consultative, client-first approach rooted in problem-solving and solution alignment.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills—confident in both boardroom and virtual settings.
  • Highly collaborative and able to thrive in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).

Work Environment:

  • Location: New York or Toronto
  • Culture: S&P Global is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
