Inside Sales Representative

Are you a confident communicator with a knack for building relationships? Join our team as an Inside Sales Representative, where you'll drive revenue growth through direct sales, account prospecting, and sales support.
In this hybrid role, you'll:
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide price quotes for your assigned territory, in coordination with the Area Service Manager.
- Proactively identify future business opportunities through prospecting and pipeline management.
- Support the ASM and Service Team with quoting needs during peak workloads to ensure exceptional customer service.
What You Will Do As An Inside Sales Representative
Customer Relationship & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, field service teams, and internal stakeholders to support contract renewals, new business opportunities, and issue resolution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and STERIS to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Establish regular contact patterns with existing accounts to identify needs and promote services.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive contract renewals and upsell opportunities by evaluating customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with Area Service Managers, Marketing and Business Operations to develop account strategies and hunt lists for new business.
- Track and manage opportunities through the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion.
Quoting & Pricing
- Manage end-to-end quoting process: creation, delivery, follow-up, and purchase order finalization.
- Ensure pricing and margin offerings align with company guidelines.
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Partner with Marketing to follow up on email campaigns and support new initiatives.
- Provide early market insights on new products and process enhancements.
Product Knowledge & Competitive Positioning
- Communicate the value and competitive advantages of STERIS products and services.
- Use available tools to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to customer goals.
Reporting & Trend Analysis
- Prepare and deliver regular reports using internal systems to track performance and document activities.
- Share emerging industry trends with Sales and Marketing to maintain competitive positioning.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 4 years in Business-to-Business (B2B) customer-facing or sales roles
Preferred:
- Experience in a service-based business and inside/outside sales
- Strong commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs
- Ability to provide tailored solutions and exceed expectations
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and empower a diverse group of individuals to achieve common goals
- Experience in defining and communicating clear and measurable goals
- Ability to lead team and monitor performance

Pay range for this opportunity is $40,000-$51,500. This position is incentive plan eligible, at target earnings of $30,000-$45,000, depending on performance.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
