Job Summary:

The Sales Manager will generate group business in the designated market segment using proactive sales activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Solicit, negotiate and contract new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Maximizes revenue by selling all facets of the facility, promoting our preferred vendors, and assisting with additional revenue streams.
  • Utilizes Sales Platform to track accounts, bookings, contacts, and prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
  • Negotiate and complete contracts with clients.
  • Drives customer loyalty through excellent customer service throughout the sales process. Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate features and services.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic action plans to meet/exceed predetermined goals for position and team as a whole.
  • Participate in trade shows and community and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and the achievement of sales and revenue goals.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned and participate in committees as requested.

1 + years of sales experience

Excellent communication and guest relation skills

The ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment

Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or higher; required
  • Any sales experience or hotel experience is highly preferred.
  • Hotel Sales familiarity is a bonus.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, printers, and photocopiers.

  • Minimal to moderate noise levels consistent with hotel environment
