Sales Manager

Do you want to be a part of taking wood to new heights? So do we, join us!

We are on a growth journey and looking for a new German speaking Sales Manager for the Bavaria region who will leverage existing relationships, create new ones, and grow our business in Germany, and specifically Bavaria.

Based on your excellent knowledge of the timber construction market's characteristics and dynamics, you will identify new business opportunities, and close sales with both existing and new customers. Furthermore, you will make sure our sales pipeline is always well filled and work closely with our buying customers to close deals and manage their account.

Key roles:

  • You will work to make Stora Enso known in the Bavaria region by reintroducing customers to us and our new set up in this region
  • You will actively seek out those who have used our products (for example via DMH) and work to convert them to our customer
  • You will maintain CRM systems to manage and follow current project opportunities & possible clients
  • You will manage your pipeline towards your targets
  • You will work with internal teams to create offers, orders, and the final delivery of products

We value for this role…

  • Prior experience in mass timber design, estimating or construction management.
  • Prior experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development in the building / construction area.
  • Good technical skills and understanding of wood construction.
  • Good in identifying customer needs and challenges and coming up with appropriate solutions and offers.
  • Superior customer relation skills.
  • A good negotiator, who can close deals.
  • Very structured working approach and good self-management.
  • Highly developed team spirit.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office, CRM, etc)
  • Fluent in English and German.

And, ideally you have

  • A good understanding of national building codes and the construction business value chain
  • A strong network in the building industry

The position reports to Sales Director Building Solutions Central Europe, Wood Products, Bernd Troppmann. You can be located in Bavaria in your home office.
