Salesforce Account Executive

Salesforce is seeking a high-performing Account Executive to join our Tableau team, focused on driving data and analytics transformation across Government and Education organisations in Australia and New Zealand.

This is a broad, strategic role where you will partner with a diverse set of public sector customers, from government agencies to universities and education providers, helping them unlock the value of their data to improve decision-making, service delivery, and community outcomes.

Your Impact

As a Tableau Account Executive, you will lead the end-to-end sales strategy across a portfolio of Public Sector accounts spanning Government and Education across ANZ.

You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders to understand organisational priorities and position Tableau as a key enabler of data-driven transformation. This role offers variety, scale, and the opportunity to drive meaningful impact across multiple sectors and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory & Account Leadership: Own and execute a strategic territory plan across Government and Education accounts in Australia and New Zealand. Identify growth opportunities across new and existing customers.
  • Enterprise Sales Execution: Manage full sales cycles from pipeline generation through to close, including navigating procurement processes across public sector organisations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders, aligning Tableau solutions to organisational priorities across government and education sectors.
  • Solution Selling: Position Tableau within broader data, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives, demonstrating value through actionable insights and improved decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and the broader Salesforce ecosystem to deliver impactful customer engagements.
  • Partner Engagement: Collaborate with systems integrators and partners across ANZ to support deal execution and customer success.
  • Forecasting & Pipeline Discipline: Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning using Salesforce.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in consultative, solution-based sales with a track record of exceeding targets
  • Experience selling into Public Sector and/or Education organisations is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts across a broad geographic territory (ANZ)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both business and technical audiences
  • Experience navigating procurement processes within government or large institutions
  • Familiarity with data, analytics, or enterprise software solutions (BI, cloud, SaaS)
  • Highly organised with strong territory planning and pipeline management capabilities
  • Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand as required
