✨ About The Role
- The Sales Consultant will be responsible for achieving a sales plan assigned by the Sysco Specialty Meat Group (SSMG).
- This role involves establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business.
- The consultant will make in-person visits and presentations to customers, taking orders with SSMG goals in mind.
- Timely reaction to customer problems and needs is essential, along with reviewing daily out of stocks and implementing quick solutions.
- Participation in training and customer events, as well as sales meetings held by Sysco Sales leaders, is expected.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma, with a preference for a four-year degree in culinary arts, business, marketing, or related fields.
- A minimum of two years of experience in food service and/or sales is strongly preferred.
- Candidates should possess deep expertise in the meat and seafood category or have a restaurant/culinary background, demonstrating the ability to quickly learn and apply new knowledge.
- Strong consultative sales abilities are essential, along with self-motivation and accountability for time management.
- Excellent customer relations skills and a sense of urgency in meeting customer needs are crucial for success in this role.
