Presales Manager For Sap Practice At Experis

The Presales Manager for the SAP Practice at EXPERIS is a key leadership role responsible for driving the success of presales activities, bid management, and business development for SAP-related opportunities. This role combines solution expertise, consultative engagement with clients, and close collaboration with SAP as a strategic partner. The Presales Manager ensures that EXPERIS positions itself as a trusted advisor, delivering innovative, high-value SAP solutions that support customer digital transformation journeys.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of SAP technologies and services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to orchestrate presales teams, consultants, and delivery experts throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead presales activities for SAP opportunities across ERP, S/4HANA, cloud, analytics, and industry-specific solutions.
  • Develop and deliver compelling customer presentations, demonstrations, and proofs-of-concept tailored to client requirements.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and position the right SAP solutions that align with business outcomes.
  • Provide solution design guidance, effort estimation, and architecture oversight during the opportunity stage.
  • Ensure presales deliverables (RFP responses, proposals, solution descriptions, etc.) are consistent, competitive, and value-driven.

Bid Management & Proposal Preparation:

  • Manage the end-to-end bid process for SAP deals, ensuring timely, high-quality proposal submissions.
  • Coordinate input from delivery, consulting, and technical teams to craft winning proposals.
  • Lead the preparation of commercial offers, ensuring alignment with financial, technical, and contractual requirements.
  • Define and enforce bid governance processes to increase efficiency and conversion rates.

Partner & Vendor Engagement (SAP Ecosystem):

  • Act as the primary liaison with SAP, managing the partner relationship at both operational and strategic levels.
  • Stay current with SAP solution roadmap, certifications, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Leverage SAP partnership benefits, co-marketing opportunities, and joint business planning.
  • Represent EXPERIS at SAP events, partner forums, and industry conferences.

Business Development & Growth Enablement:

  • Support the commercial team in identifying new SAP business opportunities within existing accounts and new clients.
  • Contribute to account planning and pipeline development with consultative selling strategies.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives in SAP digital transformation and position EXPERIS as a market challenger.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create SAP-focused campaigns, white papers, and client case studies.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP presales, solution consulting, or bid management, preferably in IT services/consulting firms.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP solutions portfolio (S/4HANA, SAP Cloud, Analytics, Industry Solutions).
  • Demonstrated track record in winning SAP bids and shaping client solutions.
  • Proven experience managing relationships with SAP or similar enterprise software vendors.
  • Familiarity with public sector and private sector RFP/RFI processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage in business case/value discussions.

  • Reports to: Head of Business Development department, EXPERIS.
  • Collaborates with: Sales Managers, Consulting Team, Bid Office, SAP Partner Management, Marketing and the SAP Technical Competence Center.
