Sales Director, AI Safety
TaskUs enables frontier-AI builders to innovate safely without slowing down. To accelerate our next phase of growth, we need an individual contributor who can both land new enterprise logos and expand existing customers. As an Enterprise Account Executive (AE) you'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to renewal partnering with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to deliver AI safety solutions that matter.
The impact you'll make:
- Hit & exceed quota: Drive $2M–$4M in annual bookings through new-logo wins and upsells.
- Expand our footprint: Turn pilots into multi-work-stream programs, increasing ACV and multi-year commitments.
- Shape market perception: Position TaskUs as the go-to partner for AI safety through consultative selling and thought-leadership outreach.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of enterprise sales in technology services or AI/ML solutions.
- Proven record closing $1M+ contracts and consistently beating $2M–$4M annual quotas.
- Fast-moving, project-based deal closing, thriving in engagements with aggressive deadlines, shifting requirements, and high ambiguity driving clarity and momentum.
- Comfort navigating long, consultative sales cycles with multi-stakeholder committees.
- Credibility with technical buyers: Confident discussing architectures, data workflows, and risk trade-offs without always needing to "bring in the technical person."
- Success selling to risk-oriented stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CISO, Head of ML, Chief Risk Officer, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Consultative selling & discovery that uncovers real business and risk drivers.
- Account planning & expansion to grow early wins into strategic partnerships.
- Negotiation & deal management across legal, procurement, and executive levels.
- Pipeline hygiene & forecasting using Salesforce (or similar CRM) and data-driven KPIs.
- Storytelling & value articulation that connects AI safety outcomes to customer goals.
- Knowledge of AI safety frameworks (ISO 42001, EU AI Act), prior success in trust-&-safety or security services, or experience with public-sector AI buyers.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent training in strategic sales for complex technology environments is preferred.
Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel:
- Remote, travel occasionally.
