The sales specialist role establishes, builds, and maintains professional relationships with KOLs and effectively communicates the therapy's value proposition to all stakeholders. As an integral member of the sales team, this position partners with cross-functional teams to communicate current market conditions and develop accounts to adopt the therapy. This position requires thorough knowledge of the Medical Device fields, a demonstrated track record of launching new products and the ability to work independently.
Principal responsibilities include: maintaining a monthly and quarterly territory plan that outlines territory sales objectives and areas of vulnerability; meeting or exceeding quarterly sales quota and providing monthly forecast for the defined area; effectively communicating therapy's value proposition to customers and partnering with Clinical Medical Affairs to deliver outstanding clinical and training support to ensure physicians quickly become clinically independent; qualifying, training, assessing, and ultimately developing accounts to adopt the therapy as an integral part of their disease practice with the goal of demonstrating high account adoption; communicating current market conditions and recommending improvements to the commercial process; building and maintaining relationships with key customers and KOLs within defined region; providing support for the resolution of product complaints and/or safety issues; proactively supporting organizational goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Authority regulations, including strict compliance with Teleflex Customer Relationship policies; maintaining a professional and credible image with key physicians, consultants, suppliers, and teammates; establishing and maintaining credentials to enter and work in hospitals and other medical facilities as required by facility requirements; contributing to our culture of being collaborative, respectful, transparent, ethical, efficient, high-achieving, and fun!; partnering closely with the Line manager, Sales team, and Marketing team to identify and prioritize customers for higher-level corporate relationships; partnering with the Customer Service team to meet and exceed customer expectations; partnering with the Line Manager and Finance team to ensure all required sales reporting forms are completed and submitted on time.
Education/experience requirements include a bachelor's degree in the relevant field, experience in sales for Medical Device/health care, and a minimum of 3 years of sales experience. Specialized skills/other requirements include experience in Cardiovascular, industry experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical firm, independent, highly self-motivated and result driven, experience in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), and flexible and adaptable to changing environment and needs.
