The Sales Training Manager for Latin America is responsible for leading the development and execution of the region's commercial training strategy to drive sales effectiveness and achievement of business objectives. This role partners closely with marketing and commercial leadership to translate product strategy, portfolio priorities, and value messaging into impactful training programs that build the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of the sales organization. Serving as a strategic business partner, the Training Manager ensures alignment between regional objectives and global initiatives, while adapting content to meet the unique needs of Latin American markets. This individual is accountable for delivering high-quality, compliant, and measurable training solutions that enhance product expertise, clinical understanding, competitive positioning, and selling skills across the region.
• Lead Regional Sales Training Strategy Develop, implement, and continuously refine the Latin America commercial training strategy aligned with business objectives, portfolio priorities, and go-to-market plans.
• Strategic Partnership with Marketing & Commercial Leadership Partner closely with Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Business Unit stakeholders to translate product strategy, value messaging, and competitive positioning into impactful and actionable training programs.
• Align Training with Business Goals Ensure all training initiatives support revenue growth, market share expansion, product adoption, and capability development across the region.
• Design and Deliver Comprehensive Training Programs Develop and facilitate training programs focused on:
• New Product Launch Enablement Lead the training strategy for new product launches, including collaboration on go-to-market strategy, development of launch materials, field readiness plans, and reinforcement programs.
• Curriculum Development & Localization Create, adapt, and localize training materials for the Latin America region, ensuring cultural relevance, language alignment (Spanish/Portuguese as applicable), and consistency with global standards.
• Field Training & Coaching Support Coordinate and support Field Sales Trainers, Product Specialists and Sales Leaders to ensure effective onboarding, ongoing development, and in-field coaching reinforcement.
• New Hire Onboarding Oversee regional onboarding programs including pre-work, LMS coordination, certification processes, assessments, playbooks, and skills validation to ensure new hire readiness.
• Training Metrics & Performance Measurement Develop and monitor KPIs to assess training effectiveness, including knowledge assessments, competency validation, field performance metrics, and ROI analysis. Drive continuous improvement based on data insights.
• Clinical & Market Expertise Integration Research and integrate relevant clinical data, medical literature, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to ensure training content reflects current standards of care and market dynamics.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all training materials and programs comply with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and medical device industry standards. Partner with MarCom and Regulatory to secure necessary approvals.
• Commercial Meetings & Events Support Lead training components of regional sales meetings, national meetings, product launches, and leadership summits.
• Training Material Governance Organize, maintain, and update all regional training content within approved platforms (e.g., LMS, SharePoint, sales enablement systems).
• Drive a Culture of Continuous Learning Champion a high-performance learning culture by promoting accountability, skill mastery, and ongoing professional development across the region.
• Ensure Ethical Standards & Compliance Adhere to and promote compliance with the company's Code of Ethics and all corporate policies and procedures.
• A bachelor's degree (BA or BS)
• 5 years of relevant medical device sales or marketing experience
• Prior experience in a health-related or medical device training role strongly preferred; experience in instructional design, adult learning, organizational development, or talent development is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment without formal authority
• Excellent public speaking, facilitation, and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex clinical and commercial information clearly and confidently.
• Experience planning and executing on highly detailed events or projects with milestones, schedules and deadlines is required
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills required
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills in both classroom and virtual environments
• Self-directed and able to work independently while handling multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Fluent in Spanish and English required; Portuguese proficiency strongly preferred
• Strong clinical acumen with the ability to translate anatomy & physiology, procedural knowledge, and clinical data into practical sales education
• Proficiency with learning technologies, sales enablement platforms, and Microsoft Office applications
