Manager, Inside Sales for Tax Professional - Small Firms
This is a hybrid role requiring working from our Coppell, TX office on a weekly basis. As the Manager, Inside Sales for Tax Professional - Small Firms, you will lead a team towards achieving departmental sales goals while ensuring consistent performance and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for driving sales strategies, optimizing processes, and managing resources efficiently. Your role is vital in shaping a high-impact sales strategy and fostering a cohesive, motivated team environment. You will report to the Associate Director, Inside Sales – Tax & Accounting North America. Specific job responsibilities are outlined below:
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage the inside sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Develop and execute sales strategies and action plans
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing insights for improvement
- Ensure seamless operation of sales processes and efficient use of CRM tools
- Address escalated customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Act as a customer advocate/peer to ensure all potential service objectives are addressed and met
- Recruit, interview, select and onboard new sales reps to the team and continually develop interviewing skills to select candidates with the skills, knowledge and talent to succeed
- Train and develop team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge
- Provide regular, ongoing, one-on-one coaching with sales reps to continually enhance their sales success and development; evaluate skill levels throughout the entire sales cycle (prospect, question/develop, demonstrate, propose, negotiate, close) to identify strengths and weaknesses, and assist with plans and ideas to improve their effectiveness; utilize all available coaching opportunities including: regular 1:1 meetings, joint customer calls, phone observations and sales strategy planning
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop lead generation initiatives
- Represent Sales in various cross functional forums including business reviews, continuous improvement projects, strategy development, etc.
- Implement and monitor adherence to sales policies and procedures
- Compile and present sales reports to senior management
- Work effectively in situations involving shifting priorities and rapid change, demonstrating ability to cope well with challenging circumstances and leading teams through changes with positive outcomes

You're a Great Fit If You Have
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years' of relevant work experience
- Minimum Experience: 3+ years of sales management supervisory experience or completion of Wolters Kluwer Future Leaders Training Program and/or other applicable relevant leadership experience; 5 or more years of successful strategic/solutions sales experience or related discipline; demonstrated ability to effectively coach individuals to attain sales results; demonstrated ability to provide ongoing training and development to a sales team
- Preferred Experience: Prior sales of software/SaaS or other relevant subscription-based product solutions; prior relevant work experience or working knowledge of the Tax & Accounting industry including familiarity with terminology, principles and practices

- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate a sales team
- Strategic Planning: Skill in designing and implementing effective sales strategies
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data for decision-making
- CRM Systems: Proficient use of CRM systems to manage sales activities and customer information
- Customer Relations: Maintaining strong, professional relationships with customers
- Performance Management: Tracking team performance and implementing improvement plans
- Training Development: Designing and delivering training programs for sales staff
- Collaboration: Working effectively with other departments to drive sales initiatives
Travel: Up to 10% annually for company/industry events or trade shows
