How You Will Make History Here…

In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving business growth by leading the development and implementation of joint business plans that achieve volume, profit, and share objectives. Your proactive approach to managing, monitoring, and updating these plans will ensure ongoing success and adaptability in a dynamic market. By implementing brand strategies and tactics with customers, you will influence key decision makers and utilize category management initiatives to shape customer decisions. Your leadership will set the standard for excellence and innovation, making a lasting impact on both the organization and its customers.

This position can be based in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC or the surrounding areas. This role will be responsible for all the DSD business as well as the direct brands (Snack Factory and Kettle) at Ingles.

What You Will Do…

  • Lead the joint business planning process and annual strategic plan with Ingles.
  • Manage supplier relationships and utilize sales planning tools to create optimal customer plans.
  • Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans.
  • Collaborate with DSD Field Sales Organization and Independent Distributors to win in the marketplace.
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate promotional results and maximize future opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage deduction balances and conduct post audits.
  • Drive retail availability and additional product placements using shelf solutions.
  • Conduct category business reviews and leverage loyalty and syndicated data.
  • Lead category assessments and develop accurate monthly forecasts to maximize supply chain efficiency.
  • Sell in new items and work with customer personnel to achieve optimal distribution.
  • Identify profitable opportunities for incremental volume.

Who You Will Work With…

  • Key decision makers at Ingles, including buyers, category managers, and merchandising/reset leaders.
  • DSD Field Sales Organization and Independent Distributors.
  • Cross-functional teams such as Category Management, Zones, Customer Strategy, and Finance.

What You Bring To The Table… (Must Have)

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years' experience in the CPG industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to pull and use syndicated data (IRI/Circana).
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to conduct meetings at elevated levels.

It Would Be Great If You Have… (Nice To Have)

  • Category and brand knowledge.
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations.
  • P&L management experience.
  • Experience managing a DSD business.
  • 5+ years of experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $86,200-$123,900. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
