We're seeking curious, driven individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and lead. This is a great opportunity for those early in their careers who are excited to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting with a Fortune 500 health services leader. This role is designed to support your transition from academia to industry.
At The Cigna Group, we're passionate about delivering customer-focused healthcare solutions. Our Sales and Contracting Development Program (SCDP) is an onboarding and training program for early-career professionals.
Associates of SCDP's Network Track will build the skills needed to succeed in provider contracting and healthcare network development. As a Network Contractor you will help shape the future of healthcare delivery through provider partnerships and strategic contracting.
Associates will engage in a mix of virtual and in-person learning, including training sessions, fieldwork, mentoring, and coaching. The curriculum covers The Cigna Group and Cigna Healthcare, the insurance industry, and role-specific training.
You'll participate in interactive sessions led by facilitators and subject matter experts, with potential for in-person collaboration and coaching. Field experiences will be hosted virtually or in your assigned market, allowing you to apply program concepts in real-world settings alongside your local team.
After completing the program, Network Track Associates begin their careers as Network Contractors, supporting their assigned markets. In this role, you'll work directly with local healthcare providers—physicians, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities—to help deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. You'll review and negotiate contracts, initiate new agreements, and contribute to building strong healthcare provider networks.
