Assistant Group Sales Manager, Tourism

The Assistant Group Sales Manager, Tourism will be an essential team member for the Group Sales Box Office team, providing both customer service to a portfolio of clients while also developing new business opportunities within the tourism and travel segment. This role will also support and assist in managing the sales and customer service team.

$29.00/hour + commission

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

The Assistant Group Sales Manager will assist with supervising group sales staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees

  • Has a working knowledge and interest in Broadway and the performing arts.
  • Has a working knowledge of national and international group tourism organizations, contacts, and markets.
  • Familiarity with international markets and the ability to tailor campaigns to resonate across cultural contexts.
  • Comfortability in analyzing tourism trends, market data, and campaign performance metrics to make informed decisions.
  • Strong ability to craft and execute long-term strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring ROI.
  • Experience organizing and marketing events, activations, and promotional activities to boost client engagement.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Broadway ticketing platforms.
  • Must be able to handle high volume sales; telephone, email and web based.
  • Proficiency databases, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

3+ years of experience in customer service and driving tourism and travel sales, group sales, or sales in a related field (required.)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, partnerships, design, insights, operations, fulfillment, and customer service.

Exceptional communication skills to engage leadership, external partners, and key stakeholders.

Position is based in the New York City office and is currently 4 days in-office, 1 day-remote, subject to change.

Schedule can include time outside of standard business hours.

Travel is Required, seasonally and up to 40% of schedule.

Must have a valid passport.
