Purpose: This position reports to the VP of Sales Development. The Sales Development Manager manages customer sales/support organization, including pricing evaluation, proposal development, market trend analysis, contract review, and conflict resolution. Conduct sales and business development functions through customer engagement activities.
Responsibilities: • Capture current and future revenue by developing new business opportunities while growing/maintaining existing business • Identify and track business opportunities using various external databases. • Review and analyze customer request for information, solicitations and request for proposal • Lead the Capture team in the development of customer proposals • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs • Promote capabilities and product portfolio during customer engagements • Perform contract review and initiate post award requests to the customer • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs • Provides Tactical support to VP of Sales Development • Manage the Customer Support Specialists
Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field • Basic knowledge of the manufacturing process • Excellent ability to work within a team while fostering relationships with both internal and external customers. • Proven working experience as a Sales development manager, sales executive or a relevant role • Proven sales track record • Experience in customer support is a plus • Proficiency in MS Office, 365 Teams, CRM and SAP • Proficiency in English • Market knowledge • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to build rapport • Time management and planning skills • Experience with FARs and DFARs
