Based in Ottawa, our Inside Sales Representatives sell research products in Canada through various channels.
A Day in the Life:
Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end users within assigned territory
Make independent decisions, collaborate with teams, build connections within accounts for networking.
Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone, but face-to-face customer meetings may be required
Monitor competitor and industry updates, integrate data into business plan, and launch new products/services.
Manage pricing and negotiate within territory to control profitability
Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for proper management of territory
Connect with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager
Advise customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control, consults with customers
Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations
Keys to Success:
Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in the sciences
Experience
2+ years sales experience OR lab experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
Fully bilingual in both English and French
Proficiency in establishing goals and achieving results
Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer
Must deliver excellent customer service
Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
Must be willing to travel to customer locations, if needed
