Location/Division Specific Information:
The America's Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) – Supplements, is a U.S. field-based role within the Biologics and Chemicals Division that owns new business and reoccurring business growth responsibility for our peptones and sera product lines for the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Core responsibilities encompass growing our customer base, applying effective sales techniques and product insight to cultivate outstanding client relationships in the Americas. This role will also augment regional teams in Asia to drive pipeline growth, sales process management, negotiations, and post-sales business management. Join a team that leads with excellence!

What will you do?
- Identify and pursue fresh sales prospects to broaden our client roster and hasten the rate of closures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement account growth strategies.
- Partner with account managers and internal team members to forecast customer demands for current and future business.
- Lead the commercial and technical aspects of complex sales opportunities in coordination with the sales teams.
- Establish and build relationships with key contacts at strategic accounts.
- Act as a trusted advisor to key clients, providing insights and solutions to their challenges.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback to the Business Unit to advise product and service improvements.
- Support frequent pipeline reviews with the team to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Guide new and existing colleagues in developing sales skills to elevate performance.
- Collaborate and take proactive steps with collaborators across Thermo Fisher to address business challenges and improve processes.
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific field, equivalent work experience will be considered.
- A graduate degree in business or a scientific field is desired, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum ten (10) years of sales success in a life science field, with at least five (5) years related to bioproduction.
- Demonstrated excellence in the selling processes.
- Experience in training sales representatives in the sales process, account development, territory management, and product-technical knowledge.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including goal setting, teamwork, and leadership.
- Ability to drive goal attainment through effective networking, influencing, and overcoming obstacles.
- Validated selling skills in the bioproduction workflow.
- Good judgment, tact, and diplomacy in customer interactions.
- Moderate travel (approximately 25-40%) is required, with visits to Asia 1-2 times per year.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range estimated for this position based in District of Columbia is $140,800.00–$187,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
