Online Sales Assistant

Do you want to be part of an exciting team? We're on the hunt for a tech-savvy Online Sales Assistant to join our New Online Sales team at their Hub in Fyshwick, ACT.

So, what are we looking for? You're the type of person who thinks "I'll just Google it…" and knows a thing or two about Collectables, Electronics, Fashion or Jewellery. You're also an excellent communicator, with strong written English that will allow you to create descriptive and accurate online listings.

With new items listed every day - no day is the same at our Online Hub. Here's some of the things you can expect to do in this role:

  • Write detailed and accurate listing descriptions, meeting set daily targets.
  • Upload listings to the Online Sales platform (relevant training provided).
  • Photograph items, including merchandising, to make sure each item looks its best.
  • Assist with dispatch – we need to make sure each item we sell reaches the buyer in one piece!
  • Check-in stock when it arrives at the Online Hub, including shelving and storage, and conduct stock counts as required.
  • Keep a close eye out for items that you think would sell well online.
  • General customer service via phone and email.
  • Internal support for Salvos Stores.
