Job Description

The Warehouse in Feilding, New Zealand, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sales Support 2IC (Second-in-Command) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Sales Support Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance.

• Assist the Sales Support Manager in planning, organising, and executing sales strategies
• Supervise and mentor sales support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and retail industry standards
• Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and product displays
• Analyse sales data and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complex issues promptly and professionally
• Support the implementation of promotional activities and marketing initiatives
• Collaborate with other departments to optimise store operations and enhance customer experience
• Step in for the Sales Support Manager in their absence, maintaining smooth operations

This is a full-time, permanent position with the following hours of work:

• Sunday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Monday - Thursday: 12:00pm - 8:30pm

Qualifications

• Proven experience (2-3 years minimum) in retail sales support or a similar role
• Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervisory experience
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in retail management software and point-of-sale systems
• Solid understanding of retail operations, sales strategies, and industry best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in inventory management and stock control
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Retail management certifications (desirable)
• Familiarity with The Warehouse's systems and procedures (advantageous)
• Knowledge of current retail industry trends and consumer behaviour
