About the Team
The Member Accession Marketing Team (India) plays a critical role in driving Tide's growth in the Indian market by acquiring and onboarding new members from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The team tailors marketing strategies to engage potential members, guides them through seamless onboarding, and ensures they are well-equipped to leverage Tide's suite of financial and administrative tools. By creating localized campaigns, building strong relationships, and leveraging data for continuous improvement, the team fosters long-term member engagement, ensuring Tide becomes the go-to platform for Indian SMEs.
About The Role
The Business Finance Team Lead for Working Capital Finance is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with key partners to drive the growth of working capital finance solutions. This role requires a mix of business development, partner management, and financial expertise to structure and deliver innovative solutions to clients, with a focus on improving clients' liquidity through efficient working capital financing options.
What We Are Looking For
- Identify potential partners, such as banks, NBFCs, fintech firms, and other financial institutions to enhance the working capital finance ecosystem.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with partners, serving as the primary point of contact for communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new partners, continuously expanding the partner network.
- Work on fostering and growing relationships with existing partners in the working capital finance space.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, legal, finance) to understand client needs and develop tailored working capital solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities, ensuring Tide stays ahead of competitors.
- Work with internal and external teams to structure working capital finance solutions such as supply chain financing, trade credit, factoring, invoice discounting, and lines of credit.
- Lead negotiations with partners and clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms while adhering to regulations.
- Provide training and support to partners on working capital finance products, enabling them to communicate the value proposition to clients.
- Track partner performance, monitor KPIs, and identify areas for improvement to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all partnership agreements comply with regulations, mitigate risks, and are legally sound.
- Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and market dynamics, adapting strategies accordingly to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
- Monitor industry developments and best practices, applying relevant insights to improve the efficiency and scope of working capital solutions.
- Work on developing marketing materials and partner-facing content to support sales efforts and enhance partner understanding of products.
- Provide ongoing feedback and recommendations to product teams based on partner feedback, helping to refine and improve working capital finance solutions.
Who Will Be A Great Fit
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics , or a related field is required; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 7 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or financial services, with a focus on working capital finance solutions .
- Proven track record in managing partnerships within the financial services or fintech industry .
- Strong understanding of working capital finance products such as Cash Credit , Overdraft , Bank Guarantees (BGs) , Letters of Credit (LCs) , supply chain financing , invoice factoring , and trade credit .
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills , essential for building and maintaining successful partnerships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within partnership performance.
- Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities to grow and optimize partnerships.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams , including sales, product, legal, and finance, to deliver tailored financial solutions.
- Proficiency in CRM systems , MS Excel , and financial modeling tools for effective management and analysis.
- Knowledge of financial regulations related to working capital financing to ensure compliance in partnership activities.
- Ability to align partnership-driven solutions with client needs and business goals , ensuring mutual success.
