Sales Operations Leader

Trane Technologies has an exciting new opportunity to join our organization as a Sales Operations Leader within our Life Science Solutions business!

The Sales Operations Leader will be responsible for enhancing the effectiveness and productivity of our sales team. This role will develop and implement sales strategies, optimize processes, provide training and coaching, manage performance, and ensure that the sales team has the tools and resources needed for success. The Sales Operations Leader is crucial in fostering a high-performing sales culture that drives revenue growth, demand generation, and achieves organizational goals.

Where is the work:

Hybrid and work will be performed in either Noblesville, IN or Davidson, NC.

What you will do:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop our Sales Operations Specialists to achieve sales excellence objectives. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share. Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales objectives with company goals. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth. Managing promotional programs like SPIFFs, short term promotions etc.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and optimize sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across the sales organization. Utilize data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and track performance metrics. Develop and manage integrated, analytical approach to global sales effectiveness by leading sales efficiency and effectiveness of the CRM process to ensure sales execution, funnel management, and achievement of growth objectives.
  • Tools and Resources: Ensure the sales team has access to the necessary tools, technology, and resources to succeed. Evaluate and recommend sales enablement tools and platforms to enhance productivity. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless support for the sales team.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer service, to support sales initiatives. Collaborate with pricing manager to determine solutions in terms of processes, pricing, contract terms or issue resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and transparency.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Sales, Marketing, Finance or other analytical/business fields
  • Minimum 6+ years' experience in sales/marketing operations/analytics/CRM and leadership of direct teams.
  • Experience in Customer Relationship Management (Sales Force automation, Customer Master, Data warehousing, Business intelligence tools …)
  • Experience in managing multiple reports and diverse priorities
  • Appropriate experience developing reporting processes and communicating quantitative data
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales enablement tools and CRM systems (for example: Dynamics, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $145,000 - 195,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
