Channel Sales Manager

Trimble Geospatial is seeking a high-energy, results-driven LATAM Channel Sales Manager to accelerate revenue growth for our Geospatial solutions. This is a critical role for a "self-starter" leader who can navigate complex emerging markets and bridge the gap between traditional hardware and modern software ecosystems. As a Channel Sales Manager to our distribution partners, you will empower them to scale operations, adopt new technologies, and transition toward recurring revenue (SaaS) models. You will embody the "One Trimble" approach, collaborating across Field Systems and AECO (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Owners) teams to deliver comprehensive digital transformation solutions to the LATAM market.

Joining Trimble as a Channel Sales Manager offers an exciting opportunity to drive sales through diverse and innovative channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue & Growth: Own and exceed annual sales targets for the Geospatial portfolio through proactive demand generation and account management.
  • Strategic Channel Management: Evaluate and optimize the distributor network; identify geographic or technical gaps and recruit/develop partners to fill them.
  • The "SaaS Transition": Lead the mindset shift for traditional "box-moving" distributors, coaching them to adopt value-added solution selling and recurring revenue business models.
  • Operational Excellence: Conduct rigorous Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and maintain high-accuracy weekly/monthly pipeline forecasts within Salesforce.
  • Market Intelligence: Utilize data analytics to evaluate marketplace potential across all segments, ensuring dealers are equipped with local strategies, training, and optimized inventory for new product releases.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between technical hardware solutions and software ecosystems, ensuring a seamless "One Trimble" experience for the end user.
  • Channel Management: Manage and support channel partners to ensure they have the resources and knowledge needed to sell our products effectively. Provide training, support, and marketing materials to channel partners. Monitor channel performance and implement strategies to improve sales outcomes.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Regional Expertise: Extensive experience in LATAM channel distribution and multi-tier reseller business models.
  • Consultative Sales Mastery: Proven ability to use value-based, solution-selling methodologies to move beyond transactional relationships.
  • Digital Transformation Acumen: Comfort navigating the shift from hardware-centric sales to subscription-based (SaaS) and recurring revenue models.
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to use CRM tools (Salesforce) and data analytics to audit pipelines, set targets, and adapt to market shifts.
  • Executive Presence: Strong negotiation and influence skills, with the ability to build "trusted advisor" relationships with distributor principals and senior management.
  • Dynamic Execution: A balance of long-term strategic planning and short-term tactical execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement a culture of continuous improvement by conducting regular strategy assessments and performance audits across the partner network.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with distributor principals and senior management to foster long-term collaboration and mutual business growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Leverage data analytics to evaluate marketplace potential, identifying untapped customer segments and emerging opportunities in the LATAM region.
  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Readiness: Drive successful new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring all dealers are aligned on local strategy, technical training, and inventory management.
  • Represent Trimble at key industry trade shows and regional events to strengthen market presence and lead generation.
  • Dual-Focus Leadership: Maintain a high-level balance between long-term strategic vision and short-to-medium-term operational execution. Implement continuous improvement through regular strategy assessments.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Trilingual Fluency: Native or professional-level proficiency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish (written and verbal) is essential for regional success.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel extensively (up to 70%) across South America and to Trimble HQ in the USA.
  • High-Impact Persuasion: Exceptional negotiation and "influencer" skills to drive change within independent partner organizations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to demonstrate complex Geospatial/ Construction/ Mining hardware and software solutions and translate technical features into commercial value.
  • Autonomous Driver: A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and a proven ability to manage time effectively across multiple time zones and territories.
  • Strategic Analytical Thinking: Skilled in interpreting market data to inform business decisions and pivot strategies based on shifting regional dynamics.
  • Experience: mid/ senior level of consultative sales expertise with a proven track record in channel development and partner management across Latin America.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or Business, or a Geospatial-related field (Construction, Mining, Survey, GIS, Mapping, Realty Capture)
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), and a strong technical aptitude for Geospatial hardware/software applications.
