Description

SUMMARY

To assist with meeting or exceeding sales department revenues, solicitation and responses to new group, leisure, wholesale and business travel accounts, develop and nurture existing accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compose and reply to correspondence based on organizational practice, policies, and procedures.
  • Efficiently handle all inquiries in absence of Director and Sales Manager.
  • Adhere to all Trump Miami Service Standards.
  • Maintain and maximize existing client relationships.
  • Develop new business and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.
  • Achieve and/or exceed your sales goals.
  • Demonstrate professional presentation skills by proudly representing the hotel to prospective clients.
  • Be self motivated, team-oriented, ambitious and driven for sales success - truly enjoy creating new business.
  • Conduct sales solicitation calls as assigned.
  • Meet and greet groups.
  • Assist with organizing and conducting site inspections, including reservations, amenities, special welcome arrangements.
  • Prospect various meeting planner lists to expand account base.
  • Trace calls to existing accounts on a timely basis.
  • Establish familiarization with competition.
  • Participate in fam trips, networking events and sales blitzes when required.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings.
  • Communicate all group information to the appropriate departments via Group Booking Notices and pre-conference meetings.
  • Execute additional projects as assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports for the Director of Sales.
  • Assist with developing a strategy and plan by analyzing historical, current and future hotel/market trends.
  • Assist with selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue.
  • Solicite new business opportunities from existing clients.
  • Prospect from various sources to expand account base.
  • Nurture to maintain existing client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Demonstrate professional presentation skills at networking functions.
  • Organize and participate in meet and greet for familiarization trips for clients and agents.
  • Research to modify existing or develop new accounts as needed based on hotel and/or market conditions.
  • Coordinate deployment of any promotions as may be necessary.
  • Attend and potentially present information for internal and external meetings as assigned.
  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, establish and maintain open collaborative relationships.
  • Participate in the following meetings: Weekly GRC review, Weekly Group Pick Up review.
  • Provide leads to Director of Sales for the DOS to book the business.
  • Liaise with clients on rooming lists, entering in SMS, generating reports for clients.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
  • The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

Qualifications

Strong direct selling skills

  • Solid new business development abilities - excellent client relation skills
  • Extreme organization and effective time management - excellent follow-up - strong attention to detail
  • Required 3+ years Hotel Sales & Marketing or Catering/Conference Services department
  • Four-year degree in hospitality or other business related field

    • Knowledge of Spanish helpful
  • Computer skills
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
