Job Description
This role is responsible for leading global sales efforts targeting non-education customers, including the development and execution of the new business growth strategy, along with the tactics and action plans necessary to achieve financial and sales targets. This role will also be directly responsible for non-education sales in EMEA.
Key Responsibilities and Outputs:
- Develop and Execute Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy to drive new business growth in non-education markets.
- Revenue and Pipeline Growth: Own both individual and team revenue targets and consistently deliver against ambitious sales goals through disciplined pipeline development and conversion.
- Market Expansion: Identify and prioritize high-potential industries and geographies for expansion, leveraging market data and customer insights.
- Sales Execution: Build and lead go-to-market plans, including sales campaigns, account targeting, and engagement strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, marketing, customer success, and regional teams to align efforts and ensure smooth execution.
- Team Leadership and Enablement: Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the sales team (if applicable), ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and sales performance metrics, regularly reporting progress and adjusting plans as needed to stay on target.
- Customer Engagement: Establish strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and positioning solutions effectively.
- Voice of the Customer: Act as a conduit between the market and internal stakeholders, helping inform product development and messaging.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure sales processes, tools, and systems support scale and efficiency.
Qualifications
Essential:
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in global, non-EDU markets, including people management.
- Track record of leading small, high-performing sales teams and fostering a results-driven, collaborative culture.
- Thrives in a fast-moving environment.
- Demonstrable success in building and executing go-to-market strategies for new customer segments.
- A comfortable, and confident communicator and public speaker with experience presenting to C-level stakeholders and to large audiences.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of CRM systems.
- A Bachelor degree from an accredited 4-year institution or commensurate experience.
- Possession of a valid passport will be required.
- Must be able to travel consistently, and sufficiently, to achieve assigned sales projections or quotas.
Desirable:
- Experience selling into Government, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, and publishing industries.
- Experience selling into research departments in corporate and government accounts.
- Experience selling into recruiting departments in corporate and government accounts.
- Expert user of Salesforce.
