Job Description

Primary responsibilities involve front-office tasks - providing technical explanations, preparing quotes and contracts to our customers, Japanese manufactures who export the products overseas and who would like to gain environmental certifications or to comply with environmental regulations.

Management of inside sales members who support sales activities, as the leader of the sales team.

Responsibilities

To promote the sales of UL's services, interacts directly with customers, provide technical explanations, develop and implement sales strategies, and create ongoing plans for maintaining relationships throughout the year.

  • UL's services are expected to include:

    • UL-issued environmental certifications (such as Recycle Content Certification, Zero Waste Certification, and Product LCA)
    • Advisory services to support compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., product chemical substance regulations such as RoHS/ REACH, and waste product recycling regulations with extended producer responsibility such as Battery Regulation/ WEEEs)
    • Chemical analysis testing
  • Takes leadership to actions on sales opportunities for specialized services. Collaborate with sales representatives from other departments to identify and discover opportunities related to your specialized services, providing expertise in your area of ​​responsibility.

    • For Existing Services:

      • Leverages technical expertise (especially in chemistry and environmental fields) to build relationships with purchasing managers and influential individuals.
      • Drives the sales process from start to finish, leveraging the support of inside sales representatives.
      • Proactively manages customer relationships and ensure annual service renewals.
      • Builds strong relationships with potential new customers, understand their needs, connect with decision-makers, and acquire new customers.
      • When customer needs are clear, collaborates with the team to leverage engineers for technical support.
    • For New Services - Attends new service launches in response to evolving environmental regulations and gather customer feedback.

      • Proactively engages in the sales of UL's key products and services, from understanding needs and identifying opportunities to proposing and closing deals.
      • Builds a pipeline of potential new customers to complement activities with existing customers and manage the entire new customer acquisition process until closing deals.
      • When customer needs are clear, collaborates with the team to leverage engineers for technical support.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software (Oracle, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • +5 years sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes
  • English Skill: TOEIC 750

Preferred:

  • +3 years sales experience in specialized services related to certification and regulations.
  • Experience in engineering or environmental science
  • Deep knowledge and experience with specialty product / services within assigned TIC portfolio.
